Warrenetta Lynn Curtis

Warrenetta L Curtis, 68, passed peacefully on May 17, 2023 at OSU East Hospital. She was born July 23, 1954 in Salina, Kansas to Rev Warren B and Genevieve Kelly. Warrenetta accepted Christ at an Early age and was a faithful member of Greater Twelfth Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Franklin County Jobs and Family Services after 37 plus years. Warrenetta enjoyed cooking, playing Bid Whist, traveling, Casinos, dancing, and spending time with her family and close friends.  She was willing to help others, and  would always go the extra mile.  She brought nothing but laughter and love to everyone she encountered. She will truly be missed.  Warrenetta is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Warren B Kelly, and husband, Jerry Curtis.  Left to cherish her memory,  mother, Genevieve Kelly;  daughter, Keyonna Thomas, grandchildren, Kelliyah B. Thomas and Carico C Henry, Jr; great granddaughter; Kendalyah M Thomas-Freeman; brother, Robert Lee Matlock, Jackson, Mississippi;  bonus daughter, Dione C Hayes; bonus granddaughter, Jaleea C Darden. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Warrenetta will lie in state 9AM Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Greater Twelfth Missionary Baptist Church, 1561 Cleophus Kee Blvd., Columbus, Ohio; Family will receive friends at 11AM and Life Celebration begins at 12 Noon.
