Sheila Cheatham

Sheila Antoinette Cheatham went home after a long day’s journey to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Canal Winchester Rehab Center, in Columbus, Ohio on October 7, 2025.
Sheila was born on September 18, 1938 in Welch, West Virginia at home, to Virginia E Cheatham and Thomas Gentry Sr. Sheila, a beautiful soul, was a blessing to this family.
She is pre-deceased by her maternal grandmother, Estelle Lowrey Cheatham; great grandmother Essie Dalton Bunker; brother in law Roderick Dedrick; mother Virginia E Cheatham Black and two brothers; paternal grandmother, paternal grandfather Thomas Gentry Sr; Aunt Rubye Dedrick; grandson Todd Lockett; daughters Carla R Cheatham and Shaun E Cheatham.

Sheila leaves to cherish her memory a son, Roderick M. Cheatham (Donica), Grandchildren, Jelani Cheatham, Jelanah Cheatham, Iyanah Cheatham, Mercedes Fields, Miadra Cheatham, Malik Cheatham; Sister Delisa Cheatham; her caregiver-niece Delequa Thompson, nephews Davon Thompson and David Thompson; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 Life Celebration 12PM Friday, October 24, 2025 in the Chapel of SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio.  Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service.  Please keep the Cheatham family in your thoughts and prayers .Smoot funeral Services, 614-444-1463
