Samuel Phillip Berry

 Samuel P. Berry, age 56, peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday April 28, 2024 after his battle with a long illness. He was born August 11, 1967 in Columbus Ohio to Samuel G. Berry and Pauline Berry. Samuel loved sports, had an outstanding musical aptitude along with his infectious personality that would keep you laughing and smiling. As we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and so many other titles he proudly wore; we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and that his spirit will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those who loved him. May his memory be a blessing to us all for he will be tremendously missed and will forever hold a place in our hearts.

Samuel is preceded in death by his parents Samuel G. Berry and Pauline Berry; grandparents, Bertha (John) Howard, Paul (Adel) Butler; and siblings, Paul Butler and Dianna Butler. He leaves to cherish his memory:  wife, Erica Berry; daughter, Karima Berry; granddaughter, Kinslee Amey; in-laws, Patricia (Zosay) Washington; nieces, Vanessa Butler and Dianna Butler; nephew, Phillip Butler;  a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, along with other loving relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service in his honor will be held 12 Noon on Thursday May 9th, 2024 in the Chapel of Smoot Funeral Services, 4019 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43227.

Please keep the family lifted in prayer and leave words of love and encouragement to help them through this time of bereavement.
