STANLEY "Stan" DOUGLAS FERGUSON

Stanley “Stan” Douglas Ferguson, age 72,  went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2025. Stan was educated in the Columbus Public Schools and received an academic scholarship to the Columbus College of Art and Design and attended for several years. Following CCAD, Stan worked at The Ohio State University Hospital until relocated to Atlanta,Georgia where he became gainfully employed at the Emory University Hospital. Stan received several outstanding employee recognition during his working career. Growing up, Stan enjoyed artwork and developed an expertise in using watercolors. He was known for his creative talent and attention to the detail in his artwork. Stan really liked all genre of music including gospel, jazz and R&B.

Home-going Celebration will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 in the chapel of SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES 4019 E. Livingston Avenue Columbus OH 43227. Family will receive friends at 10 AM and service will begin at 11 AM. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate 8029 E. Main Street Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068.
