ROOSEVELT LATIMORE was born Sunday, July 19, 1936, in Devereux, Georgia. He worked for The Ohio State University for many years until his retirement. Roosevelt’s favorite hobbies included landscaping his yard,tending to his many Lincolns, his daily trips tocWhite Castle, and spending time with his family.
Blessed with eighty-seven years of age, our beloved Roosevelt departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Roosevelt was preceded in death by his
mother, Gennie Dell Latimore; his sister, Lizzie “Suge” Binion, and his brother, Linton “Nick” Latimore.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of sixty-one years, Wanda; his children, Teena (Nathaniel), Keith, Victor, and Cassandra; grandchildren, Masha, Tony, Michael (Ashley), Leeanetra, Jehvona, Aaron, Jeremy, Victoria, Tiffany, Nylha Teyon; along with other grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Darrell (Barbara); sisters-in-law, Glenda and Noemi; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other loved ones. Home-going Celebration 12PM Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the Chapel of SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio. Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service.
