Ronald E Skeaton

Ronald E. Skeaton affectionately known as “Pete” to those that love him. Age 75, born October 10,1950 in Urbancrest, Ohio Peacefully passed away Sunday May 17, 2026. Leaving behind

a lifetime of memories cherished by those who knew him. Pete attended Urbancrest elementary school and Grove city high school. He also worked many years for Eddie Bauer. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes sports, especially the football and basketball teams. Additionally, He had a great appreciation for classic movies.

Pete was a man who loved deeply, his family, his friends, his work, and the world he explored. He laughed easily, welcomed others warmly, and lived a life rich with connection and joy. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents Orland L. and Mary E. Skeaton; brothers, Charles, Arnold, Wayne and David Skeaton. Sisters Carolyn Hollowell and Susie Skeaton. Granddaughter Jayda Credit

Left to cherish his memories, Daughter’s Letara Credit and Marea Credit, grandchildren Tyric, Tajia, Tierney, Teagan, Jayden, Javon and Noah. Great-grandchildren, Anastasia, Amara, Ainslie, Thalia, and Aeris.Brothers, Orland, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio Michael, of San Leonardo, California Kenneth (Joann) of Urbancrest, Ohio Anthony Skeaton (Gail) of Warner Robbins, Georgia. Sisters; Dr. Betty Williams, of Pickerington, Ohio, Mary Kemper,of Worthington, Ohio Eileen Evans, of Urbancrest, Ohio Karen Graves, of Columbus, Ohio. And a host of Uncle‘s aunt niece’s nephews other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life, Friday May 29,  12PM  in the Chapel of SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio.  Family will receive friends 11AM  until time of service. Interment, Evergreen Burial Park, 1401 Woodland Ave., Columbus, Ohio.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers and the Laurels West agency who enriched Pete’s days and ensured his recent years were as healthy and meaningful as possible.
