Ricky Paige

Ricky Paige loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed peacefully into God’s eternal care on June 23, 2025. Ricky was born in Columbus, Ohio and was a son of the late Robert “R.C.” and Barbara Robinson Paige. Ricky was a graduate of East High School, a member of the Watkins Road Church of Christ, and was a 38 year employee of Franklin County
Children Services, where he served the needs of many children within the community.

Cooking was Ricky’s love language. Friends and family would look forward to his perfectly smoked ribs, succulent roast beef, crispy fried fish, pots of greens, chili, and comforting soups.
Ricky was the Year Around Grill Master! Weather never prevented him from firing up his grill! Refusing to cook with gas, he only used charcoal! Ricky had a large presence but was a gentle, meek, and quiet soul. You could find him sitting in his garage with seemingly not a care in the world.

Ricky Paige leaves to forever cherish the memory of the wonderful person he was his wife of 24 years, Karen Paige, son; Jason Stevens and daughter; Erika Stevens of Phoenix Az; Grandchildren Taimario “TJ” Stevens, Mia and Talia Woods and Kendra Stevens. Brothers; Curtiss (Reginia) Paige and Duane Paige, Sisters; Sharon (Quinton) Hodge and Evelyn Paige. Aunts; Mary Burrows and Joyce Robinson, Brother in- law Brian Carter and sister in- law; Sandra Barnett. Good solid friends Keith Pleasant and Jacob Hines and nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Brandon Neal, sister Patricia Paige Cunningham, daughter Rasheeda Monique Stevens and mother in-law Shirley Carter.

Life Celebration 12PM at Watkins Road Church of Christ, 1614 Watkins Road, Columbus, Ohio. Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service. Interment, Evergreen Burial Park  1401 Woodland Ave.  Arrangements entrusted to SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio, 614-444-1463.
