Obituary

Richard Anthony Martin was born September 22, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to Robert Martin Sr. and Edwinda (Roberts) Martin.
He departed this earthly plane at age 63 on March 30, 2023. Growing up, he was the fun loving mischievous middle child in a household of five children on the West sides Hilltop community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, Robert Martin Jr., Geano (Faith) Martin, and nephew Ta’Farriah Martin.
Richard was a graduate of West high school and a huge Ohio state buckeyes fan. He enjoyed watching westerns, entertaining family and friends-hosting backyard BBQs and playing cards while listening to ole school music or lite jazz. He was a “jack of all trades“ handyman who was always willing to lend a helping hand… For a nominal fee, that is.
He was a member of the Temple Of Faith Church of God in Christ, where he formerly served as the Usher board president and Ohio Central East Jurisdictional State Usher. Richard was a willing worker who loved his church family and his Bishop Roger J Hairston Sr.
Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife Tiffany Martin, his beloved daughter LaTasha Anderson, daughter in love Bethany (L’Darryl) James, son in love, Timothy Tindal Jr., grandchildren Roman Anderson, Adrian Woods, Landon James, Jonah James and Saige Tindal, his two sisters Denice (Billy) Isaman and Kenya Martin, father-in-law Dr Sokoto Fulani, mother-in-law, Veronica Nesbitt, and sister-in-law, Lena Nesbitt of Plano, Texas, sister-in-law, Kim (Corey) Burke, his dear aunt, Nancy Carruthers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Richard loved his family dearly and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Life Celebration 10AM Friday, April 7, 2023 at Temple of Faith COGIC, 1441 Brentnell Ave., Columbus, Ohio.
