Reynold Edward Bland

Reynold Edward Bland, born July 16, 1963 in Paducah, Kentucky to Thomas Sr. and Delores Bland; the eighth of ten children. His life’s journey started at conception with a unique love for people, places and things. The family moved to Columbus, Ohio. Ronnie attended Walnut Ridge High School where he received his formal education. Upon receiving his diploma, Ronnie further obtained training in the areas of welding and construction, as well as skilled in-home building and his specialty home renovation. Ronnie was blessed with three beautiful children; his oldest daughter Courtney Ronell Bland, son, Daejon Hairston and the baby of the bunch, Raelynn Bland. Ronnie loved family, especially spending time with his kids and playing with his nieces and nephews; he was definitely Uncle Ronnie. Some of his favorite things to do were lifting weights, and working out where he would always walk around without his shirt and drinking eggs in the morning for his protein. He loved watching his favorite sports; if you knew Ronnie, then you’d know that he would be eating sunflower seeds. In addition, one of his favorite weekly text messages to his family was “I love you, don’t ever forget that”. Ronnie grew up attending church regularly and sang in the choir as a youth. He had a heart to help and serve while encouraging others to move forward. More recently, he enjoyed helping with dinner sales at the church as well as community outreach. All in all, he was an excellent son who enjoyed taking care of his mother; a wonderful brother, dad, uncle and friend. Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Bland Sr., oldest brother, James Bissell (Sonny man). Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Delores Bland; siblings, Patricia Arnold, Evette Bland, Mario (Rebecca) Bland, Evelyn Bland, Thomas Bland, Jr., Dr. Sharon Bland-Curry (Michael Curry), William (Hope) Bland, Cecilia Maria (Oscar) Ward, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great-nephews.
