Michael Green

Michael Edward Green was born October 23, 1955 in Fayetteville, West Virginia to the late Charles Edward Green and Joyce Beatrice Green. Michael attended grade school in Fayetteville West Virginia before moving to Ohio and attending Columbus Public Schools, where he graduated from South High School. Michael was baptized as a child and recommitted and became a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. After graduation from Columbus Public School. Michael worked for many years at The Ohio State University Hospital, City of Columbus and ASD Services. He returned to West Virginia to marry his first love Robin (Smith) Green and shortly after returning to West Virginia, Michael landed a great job working for the West Virginia School Board at Hollywood Elementary School. He often spoke about the school environment, staff teachers and students and how he enjoyed going to work. Being the jovial person he was, he really like interaction with the staff and students and they loved their Mr. Green. Michael really enjoyed life to the fullest and was known for his kind spirit, sense of humor and quick wit. He was just an absolute comedian at heart who would have you laughing until you cry. Michael's favorite pass times were collecting and listening to music; watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and being adventurous. He would get in vehicle are spend hours riding around and taking pictures. But more than anything he truly enjoyed spending time with family. Michael was affectionately known as Uncle/Daddy to several nephews and nieces, and everyone that met him loved him.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Green, daughter Juanita Green, brother Charles T. Green, Grandparents Thomas and Juanita Booker and George and Thelma Green and nephew Charles E. Green.

Left to cherish his precious memory is his Mother Joyce Green, Wife Robin Green, Children Marvin (Sarah) Crawford, Michelle Green, Dwayne Wells, April Clark, Christina Clark (Fred Maxwell), Jeanette Cheese, LaTosha Greene; Brothers Malcolm (Cathy) Green, Dwayne Green, Stacy (Claudia) Green; Sisters Sonya and Charlotte Green; Evangelist Marcia Glass; 13 Grandchildren Mehkhi, Jabaray, Marvin, Bonnie, Caleb, Caesera, Ammra, Tyrique, Tayeshia, Michael, Tamiya, Anthony, and Jay’Den and 4 great grandchildren; Nephews/Sons Melvyn Hardy, Sean Green and many beloved family members that includes nephews, nieces, uncles, aunt, cousins and friends. 

Life Celebration  12 Noon Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church, 1725 E. Main St., Columbus, Ohio.  Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service.  Interment, Glen Rest Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E.
