Mary Alice Hughs

Mary Alice Hughs, age 63. was called home to be with the Lord May 22, 2023.

Mary Alice Hughs was born March 5, 1960 at Charity Hospital in Laurel Ms. She relocated to Columbus OH with her mother and siblings at 10 years old and later graduated from Northland High School. Mary was employed at Cheryl’s cookies and was a custodian at OSU Wexner Medical Center for over 10 years.

She is preceded in dead by her Grandmothers Viola Brown and Christine McDonald, Mother Ida Bell Huge and Father Meruell McDonald.
Mary is survived by her loving Finace Gary Jones. Daughter Tonja Huge and Son Ohmane(Susonita) Huge. Sisters Deborah Thompson, Linda (Wallace) Vale, Denise McDonald, Lisa (John) Smith, Melissa Smith, Betty Moore, Sylivi (Gregory) Lewis and Bernestine Dunlap. Brothers Gregory and Anthony McDonald. Grandchildren, Ricshawn, Shamana, Maceon, Damond, Jaymi, Ohmane, Damon, Davion and Dezaryo. Great Grandchildren Jaden, Ricshawn Jr, Jaxie and Jkarie Huge. Aunts Mary Barnett and Linda Franklin. Uncles Calvin McDonald and Charles Moore. Best friend Beverly Bohlander and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.
To know Mary is to love her and sadly she will be missed in our hearts.

Life Celebration 12PM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, 2100 Aberdeen Ave.  Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service.
