At Grant Hospital,Tuesday May 9, 2023, Martha Ann Collins (better known as "Sister") was called from labor to Eternal rest. She was born in Raytown Georgia on May 24,1951. At the age of 5, the family relocated to Columbus, Ohio. She attended Central High School, then at the age of 20, she joined the Women's Army Corps Auxillary Unit of the United States. In 1987 she stepped in and raised her niece and nephew while raising three of her own and maintaining two jobs. Also, a well known supportive speaker of AA meetings. Mommy enjoyed watching her great grandchildren (they called her LoLo) and spoiling them, listening to gospel/blues, shopping at thrift stores and going to yard sales. Mommy enjoyed reading too. As a little girl, the first magazine that intrigued her were crime stories, and that was the beginning of becoming a scholar in reading all types of books that would expand her mind. How ironic that she was across the street from the main library when she took her last breath. Sister was known to be a fighter, strong minded, genuinely passionate about her family, and cut from a different cloth that she wore with pride. In addition to her parents Annie and Hoyt K. Bolton Sr., she was preceded in death by her daughter Arlevia "Pooh" (Winston Hall) Hunter, grandson Kenoe Hall, brother Willie "Papete" Bolton, granddaughter Toni Lichet' Burke, grandparents Hallie Collins and Henry Pound, nephew Jermain Lindsey, and aunts Dorothy Collins and Easter May Collins of Florida
.
Loving memories will be cherished by her daughters; Tiffany Davis and Alisha Hunter; grandchildren Paris Peppers and Taliq Burke; great grandchildren Ja'Niyah Peppers, Dylan Marable Jr., Amari Marable, and Genesis Marable; sisters Teresa Lindsey and Michelle Shotwell; brothers Mark Bolton and Hoyt K. Bolton Jr.; nieces Tracy Lindsey, Angela Bolton and Markita Bolton; nephews Tommy Lindsey Jr., Freddie Williams, Brandon Richardson, Marcellus Bolton, and Deion Lindsey; great uncle Cleveland Harris; cousins; Eugene (Pat) Rusher of Washington Georgia.
