Malik Price Obituary

My handsome Son and King Malik “Smouv” Olajuwon Price was born January 4, 1994 in the Love of Shelah Renee “Natural” Branch and His Father Daryl Selywin Price in Huntington, W. Va. Malik received some of his early childhood education, before moving to Columbus, Ohio to continue his education where he went to Sherwood Middle School, and Independence High School. Smouv’s last year of High School he moved back to Huntington W. Va where he graduated May of 2013 from Huntington High School where he played sports: Basketball, Track and Field, Football, and Baseball.

After graduation “Smouv” then came back to Columbus, OH, where Malik “Smouv” is Blessed with lots of Love in both States by his family and friends. Malik worked for Yankee Candle and Anointed Touch and Agape Cleaning, and Demolition work where he gutted out houses. Before owning his own Landscaping and Demolition/Rehab. Company called Motivational Brothers, LLC.

Malik’s well “Smouv” as everyone called him, on his downtown he loved to Sing & Dance. You give him a beat he made a song or Rap on the spot. And when he was 1 years old, I knew that he was going to definitely love music. One day me and my cousin Donna was driving listening to Bone Thugs N Harmony “Thuggish Ruggish Bone”. Every time it came on, Malik would pop up and start dancing and when I turned it off, he would fall right back to sleep like it had him hypnotized or something. I turned it on he would pop up, I turn it off he lay back down. I did it to him for about 2 mins. It was funny to me. As “Smouv” my King got older, I had him and his brothers in every sport that I could think of to keep them busy. I even put them in Chess Club which made his Paw Paw Norman and Uncle Norman excited. Because when he would go over to stay. My dad always sat him down to play Neil thought it was boring and so did I but it wasn’t just a sport it was something to make him think and focus at the end of the day. They got really good at it. Anything that him and his brother/brothers did they was thinking. Like hearing them outside my door talking junk to all of their friends, their bloods throwing dice (Craps) or going to the casino where he was always winning.

Malik had no problem working, he loved the Finer things and he made sure that if he had it everyone else around him had it too. He was a great protector and very Family oriented and if he said that he was your friend, he treated you like family. Smouv loved really hard, and the same energy he gave you that’s all he wanted back because he would give you “All of Him”. Smouv loved to dress in Designer clothes in which they mastered their designs. Malik loved being silly & goofy as well with everyone. He loved to go out to eat specially if I didn’t feel like cooking. Oh my Gosh his passion for animals, I just knew that he would have been a veterinarian since he thinks I’m running a Pitbull Kennel out of my house. LOL. The best thing about my handsome son and King was how he loved Church from a small child to an adult, where he was always getting or trying to get his friends Baptized. He was a mentor of Higher Ground Always Abounding Church.

Malik “Smouv” O Price leaves to Cherish his memories and Legacy to his mother Shelah Renee “Natural” Branch, Brother Kennieyl T. Price, his Father Daryl Selywin Price, His special Father Jobie Dewayne Williams “PeeWee”, his Fiancé Tinikia “Sweet Baby” Gable, and most of all his Children who was his world, his everything. They where the beat to his heart. His handsome son and Prince Mala’khi Sincere Price, his “Stinky Man” and to everyone else “Butta Man”. His Daughter, his pretty little Princess Makenzie Mi’Leia Renee’ Price his “Fatty and his Mocha Baby”. Whatever his kids wanted and needed, that had it. Everything to his children was Dad-Dad, Daddy. He was their King who was the best father that a child could ever ask for. He is their Angel and was at all times. You could not say nothing nor do anything to his children without him ready to say or do something to somebody. Specially when it came down to his children or family.

Malik also loved all his God-Children as if they were his own. He played with them, and took care of them like he would do for his own children if need be. Riley Thomas Saunders, Serena Barlow, Miya Jones, A’nyla Williams, Ti’Varus Carswell, Ka’liyce Walker, Tikhai Perkins, Serenity Williams, Jae’Onna Hill, Ty’ Vaila West, Juel “JuJu” Berry well of his God Children were blessings just like his children Mala’khi & Makenzie.

One thing that “Smouv” loved other than his children he loved his siblings and he was his Brothers Keeper for sure. Him and his brother Kennieyl T. Price was extremely close, they have had a bond like no other. If you seen one, you seen the other and his sisters Cherita Brown, Miana, and Quiana Miller. They all looked like twins/triplets. When I say this bond goes beyond measure. Amongst Malik “Smouv”s  and all of his siblings are close but different with each sibling for there are many.

“Smouv” leaves & prepared his legacy to live on through his mother Shelah, brother Kennieyl, his children Mala’khi “Butta Man” Price, Makenzie “Fatty / Mocha Baby” Price and Tinikia Gable (fiancé’) who admired him for being a great son and great brother, uncle, friend most of all a remarkable and all outstanding father. We’ve ever known.

Malik Smouv’s favorite sayings was: My Brother’s Keeper, No Nosebleeds, No Mystery, SMG, Hold your head high, No Nosebleed.

Smouv got all of y’all his siblings, cousins, family whenever you called him, he was there. No matter what was going on or where it was, he was driving to y’all some kind of way. No matter how far or near. He loves y’all and is watching over us now.

Kennieyl T. Price and Smouv’s bond was one of a kind just like you, Neil was your Brother’s Keeper in an Angel form.
