Larry C. Ruffin, Jr.

Larry C. Ruffin, Jr. 46, Columbus, Ohio went home to his Lord and Savior on September 13, 2022. Larry was born in Youngstown, Ohio on May 3, 1976, to Larry and Linda Ruffin. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1994 and continued his education at Malone College and Columbus State Community College. He relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 1996.

He dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He was an active member of Discover Christian Church in Dublin, Ohio.

Larry enjoyed working and he held many jobs throughout his lifetime. He never let his health circumstances keep him from what he needed to do. No matter how he might have felt on the inside, he was there with a smile. He loved sports and was an avid Ohio State and Dallas Cowboy Fan.

Larry was the definition of “support.” He would just show up, rather it be a family function, your kids’ event, or just that he had not seen or heard from you in a while. He was all about family, blood or not You were family in his eyes!

Larry leaves to continue his legacy and cherish his memory his mother, Linda Ruffin, his daughter, Imani C. Ruffin, sister, LaTrail Ruffin, his nieces and goddaughters, Alayah Foster and Corrina Hall and his Godson, Kaiden Page. Larry also leaves his aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Larry Ruffin, Sr, his maternal grandparents Rev. Theodore and Ruth Johnson and his paternal grandparents, James and Benola Ruffin.

Larry was a recipient of a kidney donation and was also an organ donor. He would want his family and friends to continue to advocate for organ donation in his honor.

A Home-Going Celebration will be held in his honor 1 PM on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in the chapel of Smoot Funeral Services 4019 E. Livingston Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43227.

Family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of service.
