Judith Inez Davis

Judith Inez Davis was born on September 25, 1968, in Griffin, Georgia to John Willie Johnson and Annie Strickland. She was educated through the Griffin city school system, after high school she attended Griffin tech vocational school and completed their culinary program. She later moved to Columbus, Ohio. Judy went home to be with the lord October 20, 2021.

Many called her Judy; some called her Georgia Peach, and she was loved by all. She will be remembered for her spontaneous and fierce personality. She will be remembered for all the funny stories that made us laugh and dancing to the music that she loved. She will be remembered for her caring heart and always willing to help others. She was the candy, cookie and cooking lady in her neighborhood.

Judy was a proud grandmother; she loved her grand babies! She showered them with hugs, kisses and love. She would be so excited to see their faces, she would cook them food, play with them and give them all the candy and junk food their little heart desired.

She is preceded in death by father John Willie Johnson, Grandparents John Paul and Mary Mageline Dragg, and Inez Johnson; aunt, Alice Johnson; uncle, Larry Dragg, and stepfather, Richard Strickland. Left to cherish her loving memorie; mother; Annie Strickland, brother, Jeffrey Johnson; , Children; Kevin Tate (Brittany Tate), Caricas Tate (Alisha Mark), Carlesha Tate (Babiya Conde), Tamar McCormick (Cierra Bailey), Cortez Thomas, Dontavier Sims. Grand Children; Layla, Halle, Kalvin, Gabriel, Jaxton, Desmond, Gabriella, Jasmine, Kamayah, Jaylen, Jaylae, Grace and Noah; life partner; Carl Thomas; aunts, Mary (Willis) Kendrick; Lisa (Sammy) Starks; uncle, John (Geneva) Dragg, and nephew, Jeffrey Johnson, Jr. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Life Celebration 1PM Friday, October 29, 2021 in the Chapel of SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio. Family will receive friends 12PM until time of service. ML Smoot, Director, 614-444-1463.
