Juaren Gemil Carter

Juaren Gemil Carter, 68 was born April 26, 1953 in Charleston, WV and passed December 31, 2021 in Columbus, Ohio.  Affectionately known as Gigi, she lived most of her life in Columbus. She was preceded in death by parents Warren Gemil Carter and Gladys Doretha (Smith) Carter, sister Pia Dara Booth and brother LaMonte (Monte) Carter. She is survived by siblings Deborah (John) McClendon, Warren G. Carter Jr., Yul Carter, Van H. Carter, and George Q. Carter; son, Shawn D. Carter; grandsons, Brandon Thomasson, Shawn Carter Jr., David Carter, Shawntre Carter; great grandchildren, Brandon Thomasson Jr. Brice Thomasson, Bria Thomasson, Shawn D. Carter III, Jakel Carter, and Rokai Carter; longtime friends, Lee (Beanie) Williams and Penny Sanders; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Gigi made a lot of friends in her life.  She was well liked and tried to help those in need. A private virtual family ceremony will be held on January 16, 2022.
