John Wesley Hargrove, Jr

John W. Hargrove Jr., age 62, departed this life on April 2, 2021.  He was born in Columbus OH to John W. Hargrove Sr., and Marjorie (Etheridge) Hargrove.  His parents preceded him in death.  He was affectionately called Junior by his family and friends. As a child and throughout his adult life he attended Bethel AME Church in Columbus OH and St. Andrew AME Church in Coshocton OH.  His favorite hymn was Real, Jesus is Real to Me.  He was a graduate of South High School.  After graduation, he pursued his career passion working as a salesman for several companies in the Columbus area.  He continued in this profession until his health began to fail.  He was known as an immaculate dresser.  He will be truly missed.  He leaves to cherish his memory, devoted sister Theresa Hargrove-Day, nephews Jarel and Joe, niece Jasmine.  Also several great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends. Life long friends Charles Duerson, Loretta Lake and Rhunda Reeder. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Alzheimer's Association of Central OH, at alz.org, or by calling 800-272-3900, or any charity of your choice.  The family wishes to expresses their sincere appreciation for the calls, condolences, prayers and the kindness shown them during this time. The family would like to thank Rev. Timothy E. Liggins and the congregation of Bethel AME Church.
