Jewel Venice Forte

Jewel Venice Forte, aka “Sweetpea”, gained her wings and left to be with the Lord on October 15, 2022.
She was born to Evelyn Cornelius and Leo Williams, June 28, 1959, in Cleveland, OH.  After graduating from high school in Cleveland, she went on to pursue her passion of hair design and fashion, in the beauty industry.
She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Cornelius, of Cleveland, OH, daughter Keona Nicole Moody of Atlanta, GA, with 4 sisters, 3 brothers, nieces, nephews, and her beloved grand daughter, Genesis Lyric Overstreet, of Atlanta, GA.
She was preceded by her father Leo Williams of Danville, AL. 
Jewel was a dedicated mother who treasured her daughter first and foremost.  She especially loved her coveted role as “Nana” to her grand daughter.  Jewel was immensely PROUD of her daughter and granddaughter.  She took great pride in her roles as a Sister, Aunt, Daughter and Friend.

Jewel was an accomplished cosmetologist and business owner, with a career spanning over 30 years. She passed her gift of hair artistry and appreciation by inspiring and teaching fellow colleagues how to perfect their craft.  She enjoyed creating edgy new looks and teaching techniques that other designers aspired to learn for years. She became known in the industry as the “Wave Master”.  She also encouraged most every woman she met that they too, can be “ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS!!” 

Jewel was a very special gem.  She resonated brilliance, her smile was electrifying and her heart was truly one of gold.  She made friends every where she went. She had a vivacious personality and ALWAYS found a way to make people laugh, even when she wasn’t trying.  If you were fortunate, you had the opportunity to taste her famous lasagna while you laughed with her, probably reminiscing over a funny story or situation that usually, made her laugh until she cried. 

Jewel was a woman of MANY words and you ALWAYS knew EXACTLY where you stood with her at any point in time!  She either LIKED you or she DIDNT.  It was very black and white! But if you ever found yourself at odds with her, just give it a little time, and her huge loving heart would ALWAYS welcome you back with open arms, as of nothing ever happened.  Her LOVING and FORGIVING spirit, always governed her.  As it truly WAS her Superpower! To all her family and friends, she leaves behind a ton of beautiful memories.
Life Celebration 12PM Friday, October 28, 2022 in the Chapel of SMOOTFUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio. Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service.
