Jannie Lee Young

Jannie Lee Young, was born March 07, 1949 in Boston Massachusetts, she begin her new life in heaven May 10, 2021... due to heart disease.

"just because I'm leaving you, doesn't mean I don't love you. Keep me in your heart for just a few days..." She said this is from a country song...she is not this deep.

She was a bus trip adventurer, a Cash Explosion devotee and a cooking show enthusiast; controller of the one arm bandit. She loved going to the movie theaters. Jannie often referred to herself as "Brown Sugar" which was true to her name because she really loved her...some sweets.  She liked viewing television shows that related to hospital settings.  She enjoyed line dancing and became an Underground Railroad novice at Gillie's. She had compassion for all and was a helper of those in need. A graduate of Central High School.  She retired from OSU Hospital Emergency Department in 2012.

She is one of this world's greatest, one of this world's best-daughter, sister, wife, mother, relative and friend. She is preceded in death by husband Edward Young, parents JD and Roselie Brown, brothers Rufus and Judd Brown. Cherishing her memory; daughters, Rosalie (Loren) Hall, Lizzie Brown (Jim Dye), and Robbin Brown; sister, Lola Brown (Bobby Robinson); brother, Jerry Brown; step-grandchildren, Tiphon, Kayle, Christian, and Promise;  aunts, Mary (Rev James) Carter, Rose (Harold) Robinson, Barbara Green,  Ann Preston and a  host of cousins. Honorary daughters, Charlotte, Gayle, Genise, Johnetta, Niecy, Marty, Michelle, Reese, Risha, Tina, and many more; treasured friends, Betty, Cecil, Doris, Elouise, Janice, Joann, John, Karen, Kim Linda (OSU), Linda (Gillies), Nancy, Maxine, Monique, Phyllis, Robert, Shirley, Sylvia, and many more.
