Born on June 17, 1944, Janie embraced life with enthusiasm and a sense of fun that never faded. She loved basketball, especially cheering on the Golden State Warriors, and could often be found enjoying a good fishing trip or watching her favorite game show, Family Feud.

Janie had a deep appreciation for great food—especially when she was the one cooking it. The kitchen was her happy place, and she took pride in preparing meals that brought people together. Family gatherings were her specialty, and her home was always filled with conversation, laughter, and love.

Known affectionately for being well-informed about everything going on around her, Janie had a natural curiosity that kept her connected to the people and moments she cared about most. Her inquisitive spirit, paired with her playful humor, often brought smiles and laughter to those who knew her best.

Janie loved to travel, always eager for the next adventure, and she lived life with the intention of having as much fun as possible along the way.

Above all else, Janie cherished her family. She was a devoted and loving mother to her daughters Mary, Alice, Linda, and Donna, who were the center of her world.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Smoot Funeral Services, 4019 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 noon, honoring Janie’s life, laughter, and the joy she brought to so many.

Janie Marie Williamson will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her warmth, her humor, her love of family, and her ability to make everyday moments a little more fun.
