Geraldine (Johnson) Waddleton

Geraldine Johnson Waddleton 99, transitioned this life surrounded by family October 31, 2023. Known to many as "Mother", "Grandma Waddleton" was born July 4, 1924 to the late Mary E McCall and Sparky Johnson in Mullins, South Carolina. She retired from Grant Medical Center after 45 years of service. Mother Waddleton was a devoted member of Good Samaritan Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leander Waddleton; son, William L. Waddleton and brother, Oscar Johnson.  She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Paul L Waddleton, Gregory (Louise) Waddleton and Leander Waddleton, Jr; daughters, Gloria A Howard, Shirley (Alfred) Washington, Phyllis Waddleton, and Elizabeth D Waddleton; 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Home-going Celebration 11AM Thursday, November 9, 2023 in the Chapel of SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio.  Family will receive friends 10AM until time of service.
