Freddie (Fred) Reynolds was born March 6, 1954, in Birmingham Alabama, to Clarence and Dewilder Reynolds. He was called home from this earthly life Monday, February 8, 2021 at The Ohio State Medical Center. Fred was very free spirited and family oriented. He loved to laugh and have a good time. He enjoyed good company and watching Westerns. He was a gentle giant who loved sweets and good music (His favorite group was The Temptations).
Fred graduated from East High School and retired from The City of Columbus. He was a mechanic by nature and loved fixing cars. He often volunteered at Greater Ebenezer Cathedral of Praise by cleaning the church. He invested his time helping others the best way he could.
His son LaShawn said his memories of his dad were all good and that he was a great dad who was always there for him. His siblings describe him as a person who loved to laugh and have a great time. A real good brother who was nice and gentle. He was rarely ever mad. If he was you would have to pay attention because his voice sounded the same.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents Clarence (Dewilder) Reynolds, his sister Mary (Otis) Truitt, and brothers Robert Paul, Eugene, and Alfred Reynolds. He is survived by his son Shawn Reynolds (Aqua Groves), Grandchildren: Maya and LaShawn Reynolds siblings: William (Femilee) Reynolds, Erskin (Jacqueline) Reynolds, Alice (Tyrone) Kendrick, Clyde (Tina) Reynolds, Julia Mitchell, Gloria Reynolds, George (Beverly) Reynolds, Jimmie (Annette) Reynolds, Lester Reynolds, Mario Reynolds and a host of close friends he had special bonds with.
