Freda Hector

Freda Denise Hector, 65, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, at OSU Hospital. She was born on May 22, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Charles C. Wallace and Helen Wallace.

Freda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Hector; brother, Charles Wallace, Jr; and her parents.

She is survived by her devoted partner, George C. Bowles; her loving children, Christina Hector, John Hector, Janine (Andre Sr) Satchell, Eugene Hector, and Patrice Hector;  brother, Clyde Wallace; as well as many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends who will carry her memory with them.

Freda’s greatest love was spending time with her family. She had a nurturing spirit and was extremely hard working and had a heart that welcomed everyone. She enjoyed family gatherings, where some of her happiest times were spent. She enjoyed listening to music and was a OSU, and Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed traveling with her partner George, and sharing laughter with those she loved. Freda believed in celebrating life’s simple blessings and always reminded her family to lean on one another through both joys and struggles.

She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and faith. Freda’s devotion to her family and her steady strength guided her children and grandchildren through life’s challenges. She was known for her wisdom, her patience, and her ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her legacy of love and resilience will live on for generations to come.

11am Memorial Service will be held at Reynoldsburg Church of Christ 1649 Graham rd Reynoldsburg Oh 43068 for our Beloved Freda Hector.
