Felicia Carr

Our family is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt Felicia Carr, 54 of Columbus, Ohio on November 7th, 2023. 

Felicia was born on June 27th, 1969, along with her twin sister (Alicia Enea) to Willie and Rubye Carr in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated San Pedro High School (California) in 1986. Here Felicia would assist her eldest sister (Tina) with raising her children as her own. In 1988 they moved from California and settled in Columbus, Ohio, here she looked after her other sister (Annette)'s children, again raising them as her own.  Felicia's greatest achievement was the birth of her very own daughter Dilenta (Meada) Carr in 1999. Felicia attended Columbus State Community College where she studied Psychology. She also began to pursue a career in healthcare, where she continued her passion to care for others. She would be in this industry for over 20+ years.  Felicia was full of life and light, and she poured her heart and soul into her family. Whenever we needed something, Big Momma was always there, putting your needs ahead of her own. She was a warrior of life. Felicia was a firm believer in God. She encouraged everyone to take your troubles to Jesus, pray about it and he would handle the situation. She often reminded us to call on the blood of Jesus whenever we were afraid.  

In her spare time Felicia enjoyed reading, watching tv/movies, rapping, making YouTube videos, swimming, keeping our kids up past their bedtimes, dancing, eating baby powder, getting lost and shutting down Walmart, and spending time with her sisters.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Rubye Carr, Sisters: Deborah Lamadieu and Alicia Enea (twin), brother: Michael Carr, Aunt: Daisy Lee Robinson. 

Felicia is survived by many loving individuals, including her daughter Dilenta (Meada) Carr, granddaughters: Jade Poke and Rylee Carr, Sisters: Yuverdia Irving, Annette Wilson (Tharron), Jeannette Carr and Olivia Carr. Brothers: Willie Carr Jr, Kenya Carr, Christopher Carr, Ronald Carr (Winsome), and many, many loving nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.
