Doris Marie Johnson

Doris Marie Johnson age 83, was called home to eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 11, 2024.  She was born in Ronceverte, West Virginia on May 27, 1941.  Doris graduated at the top of her class from Greenbrier High School in 1959.  She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Charles Marion Johnson.  A union which lasted 62 years.  Shortly after the marriage, the couple relocated to Columbus, Ohio where they raised three beautiful children, Dedra, Tina, and Michael.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Mary June Douglas and brother, John Henry Douglas.  Left to cherish her memory, loving husband Charles Johnson, children, Dedra Scott, Tina (Randy) Saunders, and Michael (Cathy) Johnson; grandchildren, Andre Scott, Deja Scott, Jordan Saunders and Dorian Johnson; sister, Angie Daniels, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; aunt, Elaine Weldon of Lewisburg, West Virginia; sister-in-law Rosa Hairston of Columbus, Ohio. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Together, they stand as a testament to the enduring strength of family and unity.

Home-Going services 12PM Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Travelers' Rest Baptist Church, 1533 Cleveland Ave., Columbus, Ohio.  Family will receive friends 11AM until time of service.   Interment, Glen Rest Memorial Estates, 8029 E Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
