Donald Eugene (Gene) Davis

Donald Eugene "Gene" Davis 73, peacefully transitioned  Friday May 16, 2025.  He was born November 19, 1951 to  Mose Edward Davis and Sarah Frances Ayers Davis in Mayfield, Kentucky. Donald lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and love; a devoted family man to his his wife, daughter and grandchildren. Gene's impact on those around him was profound. His presence lit up the room and his kindness and wisdom left lasting impressions.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Sarah Davis, brothers, Edward Ayers, Johnnie Davis, and Robert Davis; sister, Josephine White, nephew, Robert Davis Jr, and bonus grandson, Damien Tesfai.  Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Davis, daughter, Kylia Jean Davis, grandchildren, Khalil Davis, Kyana Davis and Kristopher Davis; great granddaughter, Gianna Davis-Bosley; brothers, Leonard (Merry) Davis and Mose Davis; sister, Helen (William) Baker, sister-in-law, Lisa Davis. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and bonus loved ones.

Life Celebration 11AM Friday, June 6, 2025 in the Chapel of SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio.
