Darryl Nathaniel Mason

Darryl Nathaniel Mason, 65, of Columbus, Ohio, peacefully passed away on October 26, 2025.

Born on July 11, 1960, in Charleston, West Virginia, Darryl later moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he made his home. He was a proud high school graduate who went on to build a meaningful life through hard work, family, and laughter.

Darryl was the proud owner of his own driving company, where his dedication and determination shined. Known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and deep love for his siblings, Darryl touched the lives of all who knew him. He was someone who could make anyone smile and was always there when you needed him most.

He is survived by his godson, Jahari Johnson; his brothers, Anthony Mason, Al Mason, and Andre Mason; and his sisters, Tina Mason, Nadine Powell, Traci Young, Tonya Pruitt (Tim), Balleetra Butler, Belinda Willis-Todd, Ponice Woodson, Ronda Woodson Coleman, and Cynthia Woodson-Davis. Also Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews & Many More.

Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, Carol Jean Mason and Ronald Woodson, and his son.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared with those around him. His favorite saying, “Lil sister,” will continue to echo lovingly in the hearts of his family.

Life Celebration  11AM Thursday, November 6, 2025 in the Chapel of SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio.  Family will receive friends 10AM until time of service.
