Cornelius Lyman Hairston

Cornelius Lyman Hairston was blessed to live 87 years and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 2, 2022.  He was born to Nellie and Cornelius Sinclair on June 17, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio.  In 1941, Nellie married William Hairston who adopted Cornelius. "Junior" or "Neal", as he is affectionately called; remained connected to his Sinclair and Hairston Families. He attended East High School and The Ohio State University.

Cornelius is preceded in death by his parents, William and Nellie Hairston and Cornelius Sinclair; wife,
Nancy Hairston; and stepson, David McCoy.
He is survived by Sons, Cornelius (Renelle) Hairston, Jr., Robert McCoy, Larry McCoy, Peter McCoy, Darrell McCoy, James McCoy; Daughters, Pamela (Jeff) Milligan, Michelle (Michael) Vance, Linda (Paul) Still, Brenda (Tim) Holman, Annette Holloway, Pamela Harroun; brother, Daniel Sinclair; Sisters-in-law, Betty Scott and Connie Harris; Nephew, Daniel Sinclair II; Cousins, Clifton and Debra Sparrow, Deaun Parker; Godson, Dwayne Collins; Special friends, Bishop Ivan (April) Carey, Stephanie Hill, Diane Rogers, Kay Hairston, and Guy Swisher; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members, and friends.
