Constance Christine Thomas

Constance Christine Thomas (“Chris”) 73,  was born in Holden, West Virginia to James and Florence Thomas and is the third of seven siblings.

She attended Columbus public schools and graduated from North High School. Chris became employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield in Worthington, Ohio as a claims examiner, and later promoted to supervisor. She also worked several part-time jobs and eventually retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield after her 20 year tenure. After fighting a good fight of faith, Chris went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 19, “BUT”  on the preceding Sunday, she was still in church shouting out her favorite scripture. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the CCAC church family.
Chris is preceded in death by her parents, James and Florence Thomas, brother ,Keith Preston and brother-in law and pastor, Bishop John A. Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Tausha Thomas; son, ChristopherThomas; grandchildren; Ty’Jaya Smith; Jervon’te (Amirah Tate) Thomas,
Malcolm and Mason Thomas; great-grandchildren, Cierra and Christyanna Thomas, Amani Smith, Jahdai, Jarvezz and Ava Grace Tate-Thomas; brothers,
James, Rodney and Michael Thomas and sisters, Gloria (Steve) Chester and Linda Smith (her pastor) close nieces, LaToyia Smith and Cheritta Fentress, and special ‘long-time friends, Herb Smith, Norma Clay and Keena Biggers. A host of relatives, friends and the Christ Centered Apostolic Church family, where she faithfully served.

Home-going celebration 5PM Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Christ Centered Apostolic Church, 3494 Bexvie Ave. Family will receive friends 4PM until time of service.
