Anna Christine Early Hughes

Anna Early also known as Christine Hughes, passed away at the age of 91 years old. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 20, 1930. She graduated from Central High School and retired from Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) with over twenty years of dedicated service. Anna was called home to eternal rest on September 25, 2022 and is preceded in death by her parents, James and Viola Early; sisters, Rosetta Sullivan, Elizabeth Givens, and Dorothy Perry; and grandson, Roshawn West. 

Anna will be forever remembered by her loving children: Teresa Hughes, Christopher (Elaine) Hughes, Annette (Jeffery) Finch; Michael (Denise) Hughes, Martin (Stephanie) Hughes; and step-son, Ronnie Carreker (Deloris); grandchildren, Felic Foster, Diane (Christopher) Adams, William Hughes, Christopher IV (Jessica) Hughes, Andre (Katy) Hughes, Jamal (Michelle) Hughes, Major (Stacy) Hurd, Rhondale Hughes, Chinita Williams, Teresa Walden, and Jeffery Finch,II; a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. 

A memorial celebration will be held in her honor at 10 AM  Wednesday, October 5, 2022 in the Chapel of Smoot Funeral Services, 4019 E. Livingston Avenue. Columbus, OH 43227.
