Al Ra'd Cushmere

Al-Ra'd Cushmere born to the late Dorothy Wright & Samuel Wright Sr. on September 7, 

in Newark, New Jersey. We are celebrating the beautiful life of a very humble man who has always spent his life helping others. While growing up in Newark, Al-Ra'd spiritual foundation was base upon his family's Christian values. Years Later, Al-Ra'd accepted Islam. Through Al-Ra'd's  sterling character, he was instrumental in bringing his family to Islam. During and after he finished high school, he worked with his father in carpentry. Later Al-Ra'd took interest in becoming a Tax Consultant in Accounting among many other services. In 1976, he met the love of his life Aminah (Roberta Street). From that union came two devoted children, Abdul Cushmere and Idris Street. Joining along with seven devoted children 2 daughters and 5 sons combining of 9 total. Malikata Shabazz, Latifah (Danyelle Street), Al-Ra'd Cushmere II, Duwad Cushmere, Mateen (Glenn Street Jr), Sharif (Kevin Street), and Tariq (Terrance Crowell).

 

Allah called Al-Ra'd on February 6th, 2022. He's united with his parents; Dorothy Wright and Samuel Wright, along with his brothers, Samuel Wright Jr, Quinton Wright, Abdullah Kareem 

and sister Wanda Holmes. Al-Ra'd leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Aminah (Roberta Street) of 45 years; his children; Abdul, Idris, Duwad, Malikata, Al-Ra'd II, Latifah,  and Sharif, Mateen; sister, Felicia Wright and the late Tariq,  22 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and  a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
